Meta tag, containing the title HTML-a document that is displayed in:
- search results;
- bookmarks browser;
- a browser tab in which the web page is open.
Title (or jargon "tightl») is an element of the page code to which search engines are primarily addressed bots during indexation for the purpose of preliminary determination topics its contents.
In addition to the fact that the meta tag title should be filled out for each web page, there are no other mandatory requirements, but there are recommendations, the implementation of which positively affects the results search engines of sites:
1. In order for the title to be fully displayed in the output of the search engine, its length should not exceed 50-60 cm. without prb.
2. The title must be the main key request, under which the page is optimized, and preferably at the very beginning.
3. The content of the title must, in meaning, correspond (to be relevant) content, located on the page whose heading it is.
4. In order not to mislead users of search engines and search bots, it is recommended to create page headers that will not be repeated within the site.
5. It is advisable to protect yourself from the typical error of the “threaten optimizers”: in the hope of attracting more visitors, a tempting title is compiled that does not correlate with what is available on the web page, or exaggerates the value of the information posted on it. As a result, this leads to a completely opposite effect: after receiving several hundred transitions from search engines, they begin to deteriorate behavioral factors, because deceived visitors will leave very quickly and thereby increase the rate of failures. As a result, the positions of the website pages begin to fall, since user behavior is the most important factor taken into account by search engines when ranking.
